This machine comes with an Intel core processor 2.4 GHz, it also comes with eight gigs of RAM so with those two things combined together you can understand that this particular laptop has more power than some desktops out there. You can pretty much run any program simultaneously. it also comes with a 1 TB hard drive, dumping so much space into these tiny laptops really is surprising I guess computing power actually does increase year-by-year, 1 TB on a laptop a few years back was almost unheard of. A 15.6 inch screen supposedly it’s HD with a 2 GB graphics card so apparently the graphics card on this thing is pretty good. If your looking to run a program like Photoshop on Adobe suite with after effects you should be just fine. You probably can run something memory heavy like the 3-D design program Maya. It also comes with the Windows 8 operating system which a lot of people are warming up to. So far online it has 26 reviews, 11 people give it five stars, six people give it four stars, three people give it three stars, four people give it two stars, and two people give it 1 star. A lot of people are saying it’s very easy to use and it has incredibly fast resolution it comes in clear and it looks good and has a nice color to it. It has a low weight but unfortunately the battery has a short life. A lot of people are saying that the speakers compared to some Dell laptops are not necessarily perfect. Gamers seem to like this unit which makes sense because the space would suggested it is a gaming PC especially with the graphics card having so much power. So overall I think I’m going to give the Toshiba Satellite S855-S5170 15.6-Inch Laptop (Ice Blue Brushed Aluminum) a 8 1/2 out of 10. Some of the things people are complaining about don’t necessarily make it a bad laptop.
